Visual Studio Tools for Applications (VSTA) represents Microsoft's future direction in application extensibility. This document examines how VSTA leverages Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET Framework to support ISVs, as well as their customers and partners, by offering extensibility with control, enabling new customization scenarios, and accelerating the development of solutions for specific customers and verticals.
