ShapeApp asked me to send information to Microsoft and/or hung

This post is in refernce to the VSTA v 2 CTP Release.

The sample ShapeAppMacroRecordingCSharp has known issues and is still under development.

The sample may display a "Delay Notification" warning asking you to send information to Microsoft on what you were doing when you got this message. This message appears when the macro project fails to build, the build failure message may be displayed in the background.

Also note, when this sample is closed Loader Lock may be detected.  You can stop the application by selecting OK or Cancel from the Loader Lock warning and then stopping debugger through Visual Studio.

Once a more functional version of this sample is available we will let you know.  In the mean time, if you wish to provide feedback on the scenario in which you received the Delay Notification warning requesting you to send information please do so here.

A working sample is now available.  This sample is included in the updated VSTA v 2 release which is available for download.  To access the release, go to the VSTA 2.0 SDK CTP Now Available blog and follow the instructions.  This release also has changes and fixes to the documentation, ProxyGen, samples (and new ones!), and other bugs.

Please make sure to delete the old samples and change the any enviromental variables after downloading the updated version.

    Thanks!
